- face cutting edge for optimal surface results when roughing
- also suitable for chamfer milling with an axial angle of 45 degrees
- stable basic shape, very soft cutting due to the negative insert seat and high-positive indexable insert geometry
The Planworx® indexable milling cutter is an all-in-one solution for face milling applications. This highly economical milling tool is a universal tool for all industries and masters even the most demanding tasks, ensuring high productivity across the board.
With its negative insert seats, the tool system features a stable basic shape. The coated and hardened Planworx® mill body stands out thanks to its long service life and high tooth stability, even under extreme loads.
Planworx® is available in different sizes. Up to a diameter of 125 mm, coolant holes are provided in Planworx® for the internal coolant supply of different media. Thanks to its differential pitch, which eliminates resonance vibrations, Planworx® also ensures outstandingly smooth running.
Eight reliable cutting edges make Planworx® a highly economical milling cutter. The tool is ideal for use in unstable working conditions with maximum cutting depths of up to 6.5 mm. Each individual cutting edge is marked for ease of orientation, speeding up installation and letting you get back to work faster. Precision-manufactured insert seats hold the inserts securely in place. The effective insert thickness of 5.4 mm increases process reliability and protects the mill body. The specially adapted face cutting geometry delivers optimal surface results during roughing (medium and coarse machining). The cutting edge geometry helps to minimize temperatures in the cutting material and ensure even chip removal.
Planworx® is ideal for face milling and, with an axial angle of 45 degrees, it is also suitable for chamfer milling. With optimized milling parameters, a high-positive indexable insert geometry and a stable design, Planworx® can achieve a particularly smooth cut.
Indexable inserts in various qualities are available for materials such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, heat-resistant special alloys and titanium.
