Mold plate

A mold plate is a precisely manufactured component that is used to shape food products such as Easter bunnies, nugget molds or pasta. It is usually made of alloyed, stainless steel or special plastics and has precisely milled cavities that define the desired product shape. Stainless steel is a tough material that causes cutting tools to wear quickly during processing.

Screw conveyor

A screw conveyor is a rotating transport system that conveys bulk materials such as flour, sugar or spices as well as pasty or solid foods precisely and hygienically. It is usually made of stainless steel and has a spiral-shaped shaft that moves the material through a tube or an open channel. A lot of heat is generated when processing stainless steel, which can damage the tool and the workpiece; coolants and suitable cutting speeds are therefore crucial.

Cutting tool

A cutting tool for meat or fish is a rotating cutter knife, usually made of alloyed, stainless steel, which ensures precise shredding processes. The special geometry and extreme sharpness of the blades ensure that the meat is shredded evenly without unnecessarily destroying the cell structure. Stainless steel is a difficult material to machine. The challenge of achieving smooth surfaces is crucial, especially in the food industry where hygiene is important.
